Application Deadline Extended to the 12th of June, 2023

WOMCOM is delighted to announce an extension of the application deadline for its inaugural artistic residencies, welcoming aspiring comic creators, zine makers, manga enthusiasts, and illustrators. Don't miss this opportunity!

WOMCOM provides a platform for artists passionate about using comics to explore gender-related experiences and women's empowerment, particularly by reshaping the portrayal of women in South-Eastern European mainstream comics and pop culture.

These artistic residencies, held in Novi Sad, Serbia, and Zánka and Budapest, Hungary, in 2023, offer inclusive co-working spaces for artists to collaborate, engage in discussions on gender-related cultural perspectives, and nurture their creative talents.
