RESIDENCIES

Between August 2023 and September 2024, WOMCOM will offer four artistic residencies. Two of these will be held in 2023 in Serbia and Hungary, while the other two are scheduled for 2024 in Montenegro and Croatia. Each residency will host twelve comic artists selected through an open call, and they will spend two weeks at their respective locations. Under the guidance of renowned comic artists and curators from Europe, the artists will create comic strips and works that explore gender-related themes and issues. The WOMCOM residencies are designed as inclusive co-working and co-creation spaces, offering artists the chance to collaborate with other creatives, engage in discussions on cultural perspectives related to gender, and evolve their artistic practice.
